Other well known breaks in the krui surfing area are  Honey Smacks, Jennys right,  Jimmy’s left and Jimmys Right. In fact there’s waves that can cater for most levels of surfing ability.

Your room is straight out the front of the break at Karang Nyimbor, with 3 meals a day to keep you recharged while surfing South Sumatra. We have a viewing tower where you can just relax and watch the perfect left handers that can grind down the reef for 200+ yards.

Many of South Sumatra’s other breaks based around the krui surfing area in South Sumatra are easily accessible. Motor bike hire, car rentals and driver are also easy to organize through the family losmen management !

The swell started pumping this morning. 6 ft perfection. Should b waves for the next week.

The surf is good at the point ujung bocur 2-3 ft n glassy in the mornings, wind comes on at 10, but there are offshore places to find 15 from family losmen.

There has been some good clean days here on the point and not many surfers about, call Jhoni if you’re thinking about an off season jaunt to this beautiful aprt of the world.

The tsunami that hit the Mentawai Islands recently did not affect the Krui area. Thank you to all our friends who have recently contacted us to enquire if we are O.K

This week saw some swell varying from 3 to a solid 6 feet at ujung bocur.
Mandiri and Krui left also had some excellent days albeit a bit smaller than ujung bocur which is located directly out the front of family losmen.

No doubt Jennies and Jimmies also would’ve been firing.
